What is the best mp3 finder software aside from limewire? im looking for a fast and easy to use software mp3 finder..

Is there a MP3 File finder and sorter software? I have my MP3's all over the place hidden in many folders over 2 drives. I would like them all found and placed into one folder. Simple as that! Is there a software which can do this? I would prefer something free. Thanks so much for the help! I'm talking about MP3's already onmy hard drive! I need them all found and placed on one folder.

Batch lyrics finder/writer for mp3 files? I am trying to find a program that will help me get the lyrics for my mp3 music files. What I need is a program that is capable of searching for the lyrics to individual songs based on their id3 tags and when/if the lyrics are found, embed them directly to their id3 tags. The program needs to be able to do songs in batches because doing songs one at a time will simply take too long. I'm absolutely not interested in anything that requires cutting and pasting. I already know how to do one song at a time, I just can't find anything that will do songs in batches. The program would be run on a Windows Vista operating system. If anyone is aware of software that is capable of doing this I would be most appreciative if you could point me in that direction.

How do I transfer mp3's to a RAZR xx3 to use as my ringtone? I recently purchased a RAZR xx3 and am trying to use mp3's that I've transfered via Bluetooth as ringtones. I successfully transfered 2 mp3's but neither have the option to be applied as a ringtone, the one is a song and the other is a ringtone that I made from another song. I noticed in the Media Finder, there is no small, green unlocked-lock next to these files, are they locked and cannot be used as ringtones? I'm really confused right now, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :)

I just got a mac computer, how do you Find your mp3 player, or usb hook ups? It is a older computer but is all updated to Mac OS X. I am new to mac's so i was wondering because when i plug in my mp3 player to the back of the mac it does not pop up on the desktop or in finder???? an mp3 file on my computer just wont play anymore... why? Hey, an mp3 file that had been working fine with itunes for weeks suddenly, one day, wont play anymore. there is no error message. when i double click the song, nothing happens. ive tried removing it from my library, and re-importing it, but it still doesnt work. Duplicate File Finder? Does anyone know of a duplicate file finder which can find duplicate files without the same name by somehow analyzing their contents. Eg. I have 2 files that are the same but - one is called "An_Example_File" and the other is called "Eg1". Is there a finder which can find these two files and know that they are the same? How do I get this mp3 to work on iTunes? So, I downloaded a song off the Internet, and once it was finished, I clicked the "Show in Finder" icon next to it. I then dragged it from the finder window and placed it on my desktop. I then tried to drag it onto the iTunes icon, but it only opened iTunes, and song wasn't there. Then I tried dragging it into a certain playlist. Nothing. Then, I clicked command O, (Add to library), found the file, selected it, and said "OK". Nothing happened. I also tried right clicking the file and doing "open in iTunes.app" but I've run out of ideas on how to add this mp3 to my iTunes. I tried googling the issue, and searching for it in the help section, but nothing is happening. I'm not even getting a message from iTunes telling me what the problem is, so I'm at a loss. If anyone knows how to fix it, or even knows what's happening, it would help me a lot! Thank you in advance! Also, if it helps, I'm working on a Macbook!

Why aren't these files working on Itunes? I have downloaded some files off of Vuze. They show up in my finder (I am a Mac User), but they for some reason won't open with Itunes. And, yes they are MP3 files. I have right clicked the files, and said 'open with itunes', Itunes opened, but the files were no where to be seen. Help with my iMac please!? Well I have an iMac that was find until a few days ago. Now all the items on my desktop are gone. I can not get to my MP3 player or anything. Missing space on Sansa m230? My mom's friend gave me her mp3 player to put music on for her. She gave me five CD's. I have imported these onto my computer as mp3's, but I can only fit 2 of them. It has 512 MB of memory, but even without any music, Finder tells me it has only 219.2 MB free. When I open up the volume, it has some system files that are only a few KB each. Without any music on it, Disk Utility tells me there are 512 files on the volume. I used Terminal to show all of the hidden files. The only ones that showed up were the .DS_Store and .Trashes, containing 501, which is empty. So I guess what I am asking is: Where are the 512 files that are taking up all of this space? I don't know where to look. I could back up the system files and Erase it with Disk Utility, but I have a feeling that that could be a bad idea. If it matters, the volume is formated as an MS-DOS (FAT16). If this means I am going to need Windows to view the files, then I will have to use a friend's, because I do not have a PC.

Problem adding MP3s to iTunes? I'm trying to add an album to iTunes, particularly one song, however whenever I try, iTunes seems to just ignore it. I've tried adding it from a directory, dragging it to iTunes, and opening it with iTunes, but with all methods, the files are just ignored. I also tried dragging it directly to my iPod and I get the message: "[song_name.mp3] was not copied to the iPod [iPod name] because it cannot be played on this iPod. I've tried each method on the album as a whole, and the particular song I especially want. I'm using iTunes 9.1.1 Mac OS X 10.6.3 info on the mp3: Audio file with ID3 version 2.3.0, contains: Audio file with ID3 version 2.4.0, contains: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v1, 320 kbps, 44.1 kHz, JntStereo the file is also 25MB it also plays fine in Quicktime, VLC, and Finder.

Does any one no how to get free ringtones for iphone...? I look up a few familiar questions and it said to: You can actually make your own ringtones. No websites/external softwares needed. 1) Pick your song you want to turn into a ringtone in iTunes. 2) Right click>Get Info or File>Get Info or Apple>I. 3) Go to Options when the Get Info window opens. 4) Click the check boxes to initiate Start and Stop time, manually entering the start and finish time of the song you want as a ringtone. 5) Now, hit Okay. 6) Next, go to Advanced>Convert Selection to AAC, this will create a copy of the song, but just the portion you want as a ringtone. If it says "convert to mp3" isntead, just go to preferences to change it to AAC and you'll be fine. 7) The copy will be right under the original in iTunes, you will see the difference in times with the selection you chose should be at a ringtone length, like :30 seconds or so. Right-click on the selection and choose Show in Finder, or File>Show in Finder, it should be an m4a file. 8) Simply click on the file name to edit it and change it to an m4r, this will change it into a ringtone to be recognized by iTunes. 9) Go back to iTunes, find the short selection of the song that you converted to a ringtone and drag it out of iTunes to your desktop. 10) It will make a copy of it and it should now be in your iTunes and desktop. Then, back in iTunes, delete the selection you just moved to the desktop. 11) Double-click on the file you dragged to your desktop and it should open up and play in the "Ringtones" section of your iTunes. 12) Sync. *****I was doin fine until i got to Step#07 when i right clicked the 30sec "song" i created it said show in (WIndow Media) and i did that but the song came up in (MPEG4) and i can only change the song name and didnt say m4a or nothing, not M4a file i dont have that someone pls help*** and i dont want ringtones from ITunes because i upload my CDs and i dont want to buy from ITunes

I just upgraded to the Razr 2? I have a mac running Leopard, the V8 version from T-Mobile, and the micro-usb cable provided by moto. My question is how do I transfer files (such as mp3's) to the phones 2gb internal memory? The instruction booklet says that I simply need to drag and drop the files on to the phone's harddrive icon. The problem is that it never shows up in the finder nor on the desktop and a message pops up saying it can not be read. I have tried reformatting it and have had no luck. I can however transfer files via bluetooth, but it would take a few hours to fill up. Thanks for you help, guys!

Importing files into iTunes? First off, I have a Mac. I downloaded some albums online recently and I can't import them into my music library. I have tried everything but the songs won't show up in my itunes. I have tried dragging them directly into my library, putting them in the finder of of my computer in the music files, and looked at about every question on this site about importing problems. I have done everything under the File menu that would be any help but didn't work. The files are are ound 4.3 mb each and are mp3 files like most of my unprotected music. I bought a lost verizon phone.? I bought a lost verizon phone from someone on craigslist. He told me that no one had claimed it within the two weeks of him having it and no one had disabled it. so i bought it and deleted all the numbers and contacts in it. i was thinking... "finders keepers" well... come to find out... it's unusable, the kid found it 18 hours before i bought it, and its locked. so... now i just have a really nice mp3 player. I am now wondering... how can i get this phone back to its original owner? (ive tried through verizon... and they can't give me any info without taking the phone.) or... how can i get this phone to work with my number? i dont want to hear any accusations or and insults about how much of a clutz i am or how much jail-time i might get. i just want some answers. thank you!

Cant copy my mp3 from burned dvd to my leopard hackingtosh......? i burned a dvd w/ my music folders, they r all mp3s, from my vista pc, then booted into leopard, i put in the dvd and opened it, i dragged the folder from the dvd onto the desktop... and i get an error, this is the error: The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "nameofsong.mp3" Could not be read or written. (Error code -36) ?? wht is the problem??? also, when i try to play them from the dvd, i get either an error, or it only plays the first like 3 seconds.... thx in advance !!!!!!
